Turkish Delight - ロクム (Lokum）

Turkish delight or Lokum is a family of sweets based on a gel of starch and sugar. Top varieties consist largely of chopped dates, pistachios, hazelnuts or walnuts bound by the gel; traditional varieties are often flavored with rosewater, mastic, bergamot orange, or lemon. The confection is often packaged and eaten in small cubes dusted with icing sugar, copra, or powdered cream of tartar to prevent clinging.

ロクム (Lokum）は、砂糖にデンプンとナッツ（クルミ、ピスタチオ、アーモンド、ヘーゼルナッツ、ココナッツ）を加えて作る、トルコの菓子。マシュリク、バルカン半島、ギリシャの他、欧米でも知られている。英語ではターキッシュ・ディライト（Turkish Delight）と呼ばれる。食感は柔らかく弾力があり、日本のゆべしに似ている。
